Nuclear Energy

Introduction

The purpose of this paper is to enlighten and discuss the concept of nuclear energy and its impact on our lives. This paper will explore nuclear energy and its each and every perspective. In addition, the paper will also analyze the impact of nuclear energy in a holistic nature and the intensity of the impact. Nuclear energy is the form of force that is released spontaneously or artificially from the nuclear reactions. Similar to every other thing in this world nuclear energy has two perspectives. At one hand this energy can be used to obtain power, it is responsible to regulate huge thermal plants, and it is used as a weapon to ensure the national security of the country. On the other hand, the accidents caused due to the experiments on nuclear energy can severely affect the lives of individuals.

Nuclear energy not only affects the individuals that live beside the radioactive area but severely damages the entire ecological system. Nuclear accidents in Ukraine, USA, and Japan have been real warnings of what can happen if this energy flees from control. The Chernobyl nuclear plant was completed on December 1983 and consists of four reactors of BRMK type. Despite the critical analysis and crucial preventive measures, to counter the radioactivity the disastrous nuclear accidents can be observed worldwide. In a nuclear accident, the estimated flow of radioactivity is probably 2000 km and according to a hypothetical analysis people in 10 km of the radius can be severely affected by the radiations.

Discussion and Analysis

Despite the rapid advancement in technology the nuclear accidents cannot be prohibited. The experiments related to the nuclear energy are so much sophisticated in nature. Despite of strict control measures the scientists and researchers all over the world are not able to find a solution for this scenario. Most of the experimental structures around the world are carried out in distant areas in which the population is scarce. Nevertheless, the impact of nuclear reaction is severe than the hypothetical assumptions of the scientists. Due to the nuclear accidents 100 - 200 Km of nuclear clouds can be formed (Nelson, 2011). These clouds are responsible for the acid rain that can cause critical diseases.

Global Nuclear Industry

According to several reports the nuclear industry has never scientifically demonstrated the significant safety measures to counter the hazardous radiation exposure. Hence, it can be interpreted that the ecological system is currently facing a great threat from these radiations ...
