Introduction

This paper intends to discuss the Nutrition that I intake and further it compares to the Dietary Reference Intake group to which I belong. Moreover, analysis is made in detail regarding the meals that I intake during a day and that what is the recommended nutritional plan according to my age, gender, weight and height considering the American nutritional standards.

Discussion

The major nutritional analysis is made from the choosemyplate.gov. After inputting the details of my daily routine activities including physical activities, it was evident that my physical activities are not sufficient to remain fit. However, the estimated energy needed for my body is about 2200 calories to achieve my ideal body weight but currently my calorie intake is too less and it amounts to only 879 calories.

However, the summary of my nutrients report is attached is in appendix. According to the nutrients report, my daily total calories are about okay. Protein intake in grams is however under the required level. Carbohydrates in grams are also under the required level. Dietary Fiber intake is also too low than required level. Total fat and Saturated Fat seems to be OK according to the recommended Fat intake. The Cholesterol daily intake is OK as mentioned in the nutrients report. As minerals are concerned, for the intake of minerals, all are way too low than the required intake level except Selenium and Sodium. In addition to this, the intake of vitamins is also too low in terms of all kinds of vitamins.
