Physical Activity and Health

Introduction

Physical activity is any kind of bodily movement performed by the human being for a certain period of time, whether at work or work activities and in their leisure time, which increases energy consumption considerably and basal metabolism, Consider physical activity as a solution to combat fatigue, boredom and being out of shape. Regular physical activity appears to have very positive effects in the prevention and the evolution of a number of diseases. The studies show an effect of physical activity on cardiovascular disease, diabetes, osteoporosis and fight against violations of the musculoskeletal system, as well as the risk of some cancers. In a more general, in normal adults, exercise reduces anxiety and emotional instability, mood and stress resistance of subjects in good physical condition is improved compared to sedentary subjects.

People can also benefit greatly from the implementation of physical rehabilitation programs, only able to break the vicious cycle that develops from a certain age, between inactivity and worsening of disability. The degree of freedom is thereby increased and the risk of addiction away. The contribution of physical activity and active living to improve the health of an individual and a community is measured not only in terms of illness and injury that can be prevented , to heal faster or prevent a recurrence, it is also assessed taking into account the impact that lifestyle generates on improving the quality of life (Pangrazi, 2009, 90).

Physically active people take their health. They relax, relax and enjoy themselves more, they manage their stress better and are better prepared to cope with the stresses or emergencies as they arise or accumulate. Active people do not have the same lifestyle as inactive. They are generally more health conscious and quality of life (Bouchard, 2007, 101). They care more about their diet, their environment and they avoid certain habits that may be harmful or detrimental to health. Being physically active regularly gives pleasure, creates a greater serenity, a greater sense of freedom, a better hearing warning signals that our body or mind can make and can help fight against isolation and loneliness.
