Piaget and Freud are renowned Psychologist, who had presented very popular theories on human development. We will assess both theories, to find out pros and corns and to check student's preference over any one theory.
The twentieth century is known as the Freudian century, and whatever the twenty-first century chooses to believe about the workings of the human mind, it will be, on some level, indebted to Freud.
Freud's Theory
As Freud called unconscious mental processes, for which we do not know or not, the crowd came back to consciousness and affect our experience and behavior significantly. Unconsciously, this means that it is not or only with very great difficulty (eg as part of a psycho-analysis) is possible to make them aware.
Mental processes that we do not know spontaneously, but can be made due to an effort to regain consciousness quite fully accessible refers to Freud as preconscious. Mental processes in man, which he noticed and which he has direct access is called a conscious. Freud believed that there were three instances of personality: the ego, the id and the superego. Of these: Id and the superego are in the depths of the subconscious.
Id
The id represents the instincts of an individual, the work out of the subconscious. These drives are already present in Freud's view of birth. When the shoots Freud distinguishes between the sex drive (libido) and the death or destructive instinct (Thanatos). The Id's are always after the primary principle.
Super-Ego
The superego is formed in the infantile genital phase through the internalization of values and norms of a society representative out by a parent. It is a kind of conscience, which does not allow the id, the superego to be in constant conflict, which may enforce all of the instinctual wishes.
