Abstract

Project management is the process that includes the planning, implementing, monitoring and the execution of the project plan. A project is classified in three types on the basis of the risk which it faces. These are the low risk level, medium risk level and high risk level projects. Thus, this paper provides the different project documentation guidelines used in these projects.

Project Management

Chapter 1: Introduction

Project management has been described as the secret weapon of rapid economic sustenance of most developed nations all over the world. . From a project management perspective, many believe a project is successful if it is delivered within the time, cost, and quality constraints established at the beginning of the project. There is an inference that the project knowledge areas of time, cost, and quality are essential to project success. Until recently, it is also the closest any literature, including PMBOK, has come to defining the importance of the project knowledge areas to project success (Adams, 2008). Decision making plays a very prominent role in project management, and every manager should keep in mind the importance of decision making in project management. With every project, there is always a risk involved. There can be different classifications of the risks i.e. the high level risk, medium level risk and the low level risk. Thus, with every type of risk in the project, there are some guidelines named as the project documentation guidelines. Thus, this paper is the reflection of the effective project management practices and the project documentation guidelines in order to reflect the documentation guidelines which could be used in the managing the risks of the projects.
