Abstract

Curriculum is always important for any situation, whether seeking a place in the labor market or continuing the academic career. However, in certain circumstances, a good resume becomes essential, as in cases where competition is high or where there is no well-defined focus professional. In addition, depending on the case, a cover letter is essential. The curriculum is not a static document, which should only be remembered when leaving a job or when it intends to add experience that is more professional. The CV must be dynamic, personalized, following the requirements of the companies and the market. This document is the card of view of any professional; it should contain relevant information for each position an individual wants and not just bring a list of previous experiences.

The resume present with summary of individual's educational background, experience about work and career, skills, abilities and other achievements that are worth mentioning and may provide the employer with additional information about persons potential. Resume has been referred as a tool and instrument for marketing of person's capability to do a job or sell his potential and attract the reader so that he gets enticed and motivated to call the person for an interview.

Employers all over the world are always on a look out and search for better and capable pool of candidates in terms of academics, work related accomplishments and skills. Therefore, it is extremely important to include all the above-mentioned information in the resume so that the abilities and potential of the candidate is fully exposed and apparent to the employer and he is able to take the right decision concerning his hiring criteria and requirements. It is worth mentioning here that there is no one perfect or complete resume and the content and type of resume varies and highly dependent upon the requirement of the employer and nature of job that an individual is applying for. For instance, an entry-level resume will be different from career level resume in terms of objective and experience.

On a more general not a resume is a brief and concise document that is able to sell to the employer the most relevant and positive accomplishments and credentials of an individual in the job market. In addition to the job market resume are often created for getting admission in a graduate school, applying for scholarship or fellowship and for other professional reasons. However, the most important and basic purpose of resume creation is applying for a professional job. Another most important thing to remember here is that the purpose of an effective CV or resume is to get the person to the stage of interview and not to get him a job.
