Introduction

The main purpose of this paper is to analyze the Biblical mission “The Great Commission”. The paper also analyzes the four main church structures i.e. Hybrid, traditional, organic and attractional. The Great Commission is considered to be one of the most preferred missions of Bible. This is considered to be the one of the most preached portions which has been given by Fundamentalist pastors, Evangelical and teachers of these days.

Discussion

The Great Commission is considered to be one of the most effective missions of Bible. The Great Commission is mainly associated with the marching orders for Christ's for the church; however, this focus on marching order is warranted. However, one thing is unfortunate in this sense i.e. the fact that this Scripture has always got the misinterpretations in such a way that it limits the actual concept and scope of the passage. This mission is mainly associated with the command of Christ for following the entire nations which is a complete task aiming at the development of Christian civilization and culture throughout the world. However, with the time this command has been completely ignored and a new command has replaced this command. The new command was associated with the witness to individuals and keep awaiting for the rapture. This study is mainly associated with the examination of Great Commission for the purpose of exposing some common erroneous usages of it and identifies the true meaning and importance for the church and all over the world.

In the mission of the Great Commission, an authority has been given to Jesus in which the disciples of Jesus will belong to all nations and Jesus will be fulfilling the responsibility of their followers for all days till the end of his life. It involves the accurate scripture indicating the deep connection between missions and apologetics. The main basis of the Gospel's message is different historical events. As per the Great Commission, God makes a call in order to claim Gospel and to live his rest life in it. As per the Great Commission, Jesus gives instructions to his disciples to make the disciples from all over the nations and baptize them for the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The disciples were also ordered to preach the teachings and ask them to follow whatever Jesus asks them to follow. This mandate of Bible is famous as the Great Commission.

The Great Commission is mainly associated with giving instructions to Christians in order to make their movements outward and make disciples, give them teachings of faith and provoke them to start the fellowships. The use of the term disciple is of utmost importance in this case. According to Merriam Webster, disciple is a person accepting and providing guidance in the spread of doctrines of another. Later on, Willard also defined disciple as a person who is apprentice.
