Introduction

The notion of “postmodern” is associated from 1970's to the late 1990's, with a wide range of different meanings in it. Postmodern can indicate a chronological period; in which the specific style is found in contemporary literary texts and artworks, or a specific way of thinking theoretically about such issues as language, knowledge, or identity and a change in the values of certain societies. It has been observed that various interpretations have made the complexity in these basic meanings. The postmodern can track the modernity defined by social, economic, cultural, political institutions that had issued in the late 18th century. In the view of aesthetic style, the postmodern can concern to different features which depend on an old historical art form such as architecture. We should observe that the new distinctive form of art such as film, which had developed only during the period of modernist. These terminologies join the relationship between postmodernism, technology and science. At contrast, the latest technological and scientific achievements can designate as “postmodern, specifically those are culturally perceived in different historical era and type of society. Technological rationality and scientific knowledge have been seriously disputed by postmodern modes of thought.

The social phenomenon has been produced by the reaction of contemporary culture to the digital technology, where the civilization itself has started changing to return the nature of the technology use. It is somehow true, as the network is based on technologies like internet, mobile phones and broadcasting that reflects the apparent effects on our society. It is not only in terms of what we have achieved but also the interaction with each other. It shows that how our sense of community is extended via enhanced communication and how our normal logic of global awareness has issued. The technology culture refers to those who have similarity with modern digital functions and prefer to reflect within their values and attitudes. Technology is the directing contemporary art methodology which is blurring the boundaries of traditional art practices and art forms. We should observe that how the technology of computer is being used as a medium of portraying art and how this technology inspires art. Interdisciplinary activities across all aspects of our culture have been facilitated by digital technology which is exemplified in the world of art.

Modernization

Modernization denotes the model of an evolutionary conversion from a 'traditional' or 'pre-modern' to the modern change of society. The philosophical theory of modernization is explained in social evolutionism theories that exist as a pattern which can generally followed by societies and transform its shape to the new adaptation. Modernization has been linked by the historians to the procedures of urbanization and industrialization along with the expansion of education. According to Kendall, "Urbanization accompanied modernization and the rapid process of industrialization"(2007).
