For understanding and comprehending John's behavior, one must understand and comprehend that no matter how far and wide can an individual works towards disobeying laws and rules that have been intended to him, the one core reason that individuals pave way for creating a mess and coil around them is that of attention. It all comes down to how far and wide does a person pertain to receive problems and situations around, yet at the same time it is extremely important for the parents or guardian of the child to make such an environment where the child grows into becoming a strong and sane individual. Criminology is a field that is very rich in academic imagination. To a level, this variety of theorizing reflects the discipline's irresponsibility and its incapability as of yet to develop a single standard which is so empirically better than its competitors that it earns the devotion of most scholars. Criminology, however, is prepared in a different way. There are many theories or “schools of thought.” To be truthful and precise, criminologists do not agree on why crime occur, thus making it a drawback of the field. But the richness in thinking within the criminology also is a demonstration of the difficulty of its subject matter.

To understand John's case, it is important to believe what was the root cause of his extreme behavior. This would be because of either of the parents, to whom he would see fighting and hitting one another, creating problems for themselves and everyone around in the house. Like lot of social behaviors, crime is wide-ranging and it is potentially formed by a variety of factors that operate within and outside the individuals, which exist on the macro level and even on the micro level, and that have effects across various points in the life cycle of any person. Revealing that what exactly causes crime is thus an overwhelming task that benefits from various efforts to view the origins from many angles.

The case took a different turn with the efforts of the counselor, as they struggled and did not pertain to listen to work that they had been doing towards their contributions, thus improving their well-being. While John, although a reluctant subject, who would not change for even a bit, actually opened up to the different ways and speech that the counselor use to give while John was his patient. Various examples of his improvement were mimicry of different people in their absence, setting up chairs and arriving before time in order to witness the beginning of the session.
