Culture and Leadership in Military

Abstract

Every organization has a different culture and leadership styles to conduct their business operations. Same is the case with the military organization. The constant changes in the social environment changes have taken place in the culture, organizational, and thus an increase in the skills and characteristics that the institution demands of its military leaders. The features described in this work indicate that the leader of today must have a very different profile leader for decades, whose pattern is suited more to the control and supervision. At present it is necessary to reconsider whether it is sufficient to theories or fit into the different styles of leadership. Potential military leaders are required to present a different preparation to be able to meet the needs of the service. Knowledge of languages, college, technical, tactical and ability to communication are some of the aspects to be considered to lead the change. The military leader must master a number of functions, which facilitate interaction with the environment and lead to efficiency targets of the staff. To be strategic, and have all the qualities of the leader based on the emotional aspect.

Introduction

Organizational culture is no longer peripheral to the organization to become a strategic element of high importance. It is a strength that directs organizations towards excellence, to success. The organizational climate is determined by the perception that employees have cultural elements, this includes the feel and the way people react against the features and quality of organizational culture (Kolenda, 2001). In light of the above-mentioned concern is born an investigation whose purpose will be to highlight the importance of organizational culture and climate as determinants of the effectiveness of civilian personnel in the military context, it will reflect the high military organization's management to achieve a balance in the organizational culture in which they can interact reference groups that comprise a harmonized and committed to the same ideals. The importance of culture and organizational climate has been the subject of strong interest from the 1980 until today, which is why this research literature is to make a collection of the theoretical assumptions underpinning the development of the primary objective of this research as outlined above. The development of organizational culture allows members of the organization and inhibit certain behaviors others. An open work culture encourages participation and human mature behavior from all members of the organization; other people are committed and are responsible, because the work culture allows it (Kolditz, 2005).

Leadership in Military

Our office places a strong emphasis on assessing the quality of leadership exercised by the chain of command of the Canadian Forces with regard to the deployment to Somalia.
