It is being emphasized that there must be the complete collection of electronic health records that contains all the health records of all the patients. The emerging concept of health care record system seems beneficial by the doctors. EHRs' involves the systematic collection of patients' health data that can be shared among different health care organizations. From the past two years, there is the growing concern of electronic health records in the health care industry. The electronic health record mainly involves all the important records of the patients that involve the demographics of the patients, the past medical and health history, the medications that have given to the patients, patients' age, billing records, the laboratory records as well as the radiology reports. The electronic health records system is getting the positive response not from the physicians but also from the patients. The hospitals that have already implemented the electronic health records systems are experiencing efficiency in providing health care services to their patients.

Electronic health records particularly focuses on the overall health of the patients. The record systems provides the broader view of patients' health to the doctors and physicians and this help them to provide more better medication and health care service to the patients looking at the past medical history of the patients. The electronic health record systems are designed in a manner that not only provides the patients' records and medical history to the particular health organization, but, these systems are designed to share the patients' records at all the hospitals at the national levels. This is the most important feature of electronic health records (EHRs') that it provides the complete security of patients' records and it involves secure sharing of data. This best feature of EHRs' has enhanced the openness of communication between the patients and the physicians (Horowitz, B.T., 2012).

The importance of EHRs' in not only significant for the doctors but it is also significant from the patients' perspectives.
