Introduction

Leadership is a process in which one person can enlist the support and help of other people in the accomplishment of a common task. A good leader is the one who contains vision, integrity, and principle, and use these aspects to motivate people through his deeds and words. Ethical leadership is simply acting and leading followers ethically. It involves knowing your ethical values and adheres to them while working for humanity good (Rabinowitz & Berkowitz, 2012). A human service is a very significant as well as sensitive area, where ethics hold great importance. The essence of human services is in knowing the importance and value of the people, and treating them with respect and care. Therefore a leader, serving humanity, must be ethical, so that he can make a positive change, with respect and dignity, in the lives of those who are influenced by his decisions.

Discussion

Ethical behavior is simply distinguishes between right and wrong, and choosing the right thing to do. However, knowing 'what is right' is not that easy, one must possess the wisdom and courage to identify, acknowledge and differentiate the right from wrong. These attributes are associated with a 'Leader', an effective leader has courage, knowledge and belief; belief in the goal and his ability to achieve that goal with his followers.

The human services provide to the children is attributed with the goal of providing an array of intervention and prevention services to the children who are at a risk of abuse and neglect, children who do not have adult caregivers, and children with special medical and mental health needs.
