Introduction

According to OED's definition, euthanasia is defines as, "A gentle and easy death" or in terms of the barest procedure such as Miriam-Webster's "the act or practice of killing or permitting the death of hopelessly sick or injured individuals (as persons or domestic animals) in a relatively painless way for reasons of mercy".
