This paper discusses the various food-related issues, and problems highlighted in the Food, Inc. film. Food, Inc. is a documentary American in 2008 directed by filmmaker won an Emmy Robert Kenner. The film loosely based on the nonfiction bestseller of 2001 Fast Food Nation, of Eric Schlosser and The Omnivore's Dilemma of Michael Pollan. The first segment of the film examines the industrial production of meat, which he calls inhumane and economically and environmentally unsustainable. The second segment focuses on the industrial production of grain and vegetables, which also qualifies as an economic and environmentally unsustainable. The third and final segment discusses the legal and economic power of large food production companies (which, according to the authors, based on providing cheap food contaminated with chemicals but based on oil, particularly pesticides and fertilizers) and the promotion of habits of unhealthy food to the American public (www.foodincmovie.com).

The main argument of the filmmaker is that the U.S. food supply controlled by a handful of corporations that often put the health benefits of consumers, the livelihood of farmers and ranchers and environmental protection. The effective examples and statistics used to support the argument included the performance of the U.S. food industry, and the processes that hidden to the consumer with the consent of regulatory agencies and government control.
