Global Poverty


In this study we try to explore the concept of “Poverty” in a holistic context. The main focus of the research is on “Poverty” and its relation with “human beings living in a society”. The research also analyzes many aspects of “poverty” and tries to gauge its effect on “society as a global community”. Finally the research describes various factors which are responsible for “poverty in the world today” and tries to describe the overall effect on “the global community and human beings being a part of it”.

Global Poverty


All human societies, both present and past, have been presented and some concrete form of social organization, which in turn covers such areas as psychology, economics, political and above all, cultural. For example, in European societies of the middle Ages we find the establishment as a hierarchical and sorting among different human groups in the same region. Similarly, in contemporary Western societies, we often use the term social class.

But worldwide and throughout history, have been listed various types of grouping, sorting, stratification and / or social hierarchy, which implies and narrates economic, political, etc. demarcations of the human group or society concerned. Social change is a very important term in the science of sociology as it examines, analyzes, and establishes the parameters and variables that influence the establishment and development ("social change") of these social structures.

Moreover, this is where the concept of poverty comes into play, as a socioeconomic variable (of many that may exist), which influences and affects different social stratifications that are currently described and / or defined in the Western societies. Clearly, the concept of poverty is very ambiguous and should be further concrete what is meant by poverty from the point of view, not only economic but also social, cultural, and so on.

Not surprisingly, therefore, there have been attempts in many places to think about school resourcing differently. Often, these attempts result from the initiative of a particular school principal attempting to meet what they see as the needs of their students and of local communities.


Despite the transformations in education that have taken place in most countries over the past hundred years, the characteristics and functions of schools have remained remarkably unchanged. Typically, students attend for a limited number of hours each day, a limited number of days each week, and a limited number of weeks each year. When students are present, other family and community members have little access to the school, and when students are not present, the building may well be closed (Babb, 2009).

Health Issues

Kids in poor communities tend to suffer from more illness than the wealthy community, obesity in poor community. For instance, Cholera spread like wild fire in the entire country, leading to an estimated 900 people being killed with immediate effect or due to maltreatment of the patients or no treatment at all and 1500 people were diagnosed and recovered from the disease.
