The research also analyzes many aspects of change and tries to gauge its effect on employees. Finally the research describes various factors which are responsible for change and tries to describe the overall strategies of change management with respect to the employees.

History

Sysco began its operations with a USP of providing easy to cook meal and out of home consumed meals to the customers. It took Sysco decades to build a customer satisfaction it currently holds. With sincerity and complete customer focus in mind Sysco came a long way to turn into a multibillion dollar organization. In 1970, when Sysco first offered its shares in the market it was an organization of $15 million, it has transformed itself into an organization having $37 billion in sales in the year 2010.

This journey hasn't been easy and simple. Sysco has always retained a close relationship with its customers by keeping a strong eye on the changing trends. During the last decade many new trends of taking food out of home and preparing home cooked food to be eaten away have come up. Sysco has responded to every new trend and nowadays preparing food to be consumed away from home has become a necessity instead of a trend, unlike retrospective years. In 1977 Sysco outpaced the competing companies by a large margin in meals-prepared-away-from-home category in North America. The industry in which Sysco operates has jumped into a massive industry worth $200 million from $35 billion in 1977. Currently Sysco serves to around 400000 satisfied customers, who have Sysco products placed at their heart. It remains focused on fulfilling the customer appetites by offering food direct in line with their taste buds. Although most of the operations of Sysco are located within USA across 180 locations, it operates from Canada and Ireland as well. Sysco's product lines are diverse and customized as its target market. To support this customization Sysco maintains a workforce of 47000 employees who work diligently to provide people with the food of their choice. Sysco ahs not limited itself to the meals but it now offers ingredients needed to prepare the meals along with other service items. With such a diverse business operation activity Sysco brings ease and positive change in the life of its customers.
