Introduction to Early Childhood Studies

The personal, cultural and political influences that contributed to my childhood

Childhood plays an important role in an individual's development and how are they brought up and grow up as an individual. The childhood is a time when a child enjoys, plays adorably and innocently, but most of all, this is a time when a person discovers and explores where and how his footsteps on the trail of growth will lead them. Since every child has some memories which are diverse and varied just like the stars in the universe, similarly I feel it as a personal and valuable liberation source to share some of my personal experiences that have marked some very essential sign post on my life journey map. As we know that the childhood's memories forms a foundation for a person's upbringing and life and it post a very strong impact on what one becomes today. The childhood can be therapeutic and helpful to dig through one own past to remember and to explore what has shaped us in our past years.

Throughout a child's life, he has been taught and influenced by many people. It affects on the way he views any event or problem within a public boundary. A child's identity gets influenced by none other than themselves. People get influenced by many factors such as family, culture, friends, media, school, role models and work. By these a child builds up a negative or a positive identity for himself depending on the direction they are choosing for themselves.

My first contact with the world (the contact with the people around me and the reality) was when I was three and a half years old. That was the very first time I looked around me and cared. My parents seemed to be very responsible and they looked after me, cared, respected and encouraged me a lot. They set an example for me by providing me good clothes, awesome quality food and shelter. Their caring nature helped me to correctly develop my mental and physical life. My house hold sets an example of the security a child needs in his upbringing. My family gave me a sense of stability, and my life is reflected by all the negative and positive influences my family has bestowed upon me.
