Introduction

Motivational and leadership qualities are not only essential for upper management in business but these qualities are essential among employees as well. Many people often have a tendency to be a leader, while some leasers go on to be effective leaders by learning successful leadership behaviors. Leadership is all about leading others. It is very important for leaders to understand that what will motivate others. If leaders want to create or continue a change they should know how to influence their followers. (Bird, 2009)

Leading is used to change channel motivation into practical use employee motivation is based on many factors. One the common factor in motivating employees is depended on the type of work they are doing. It is wrong to think that those employees who do simple work every day become more efficient over time, however there is fact that a person get bored by doing the same type of work daily. Employees stay motivated if they get various and different tasks to perform and the ability to grow as well. It is very sad to that there are many workers who do not get chances to perform different tasks and chance to show their ability and creativity. (BusinessWeek, 2006)

There are variety of skills can be used in an organization through which there can be motivational and leadership promotion. Basic things or needs should be remembered and a look at how people react on personal level. One main thing should be kept in mind and it is very necessary to make sure that leaders should not expect others to perform certain tasks that he himself do not expect for himself. One best way to become leader is to be a good example for others to follow. There are so many terrific leaders with different approaches and personalities. (Chalofsky, 2009)

Maslow's theory

Concept of Maslow's hierarchy of needs: Shows a series of needs that affect every individual and are structurally organized (like a pyramid), according to a biological determination caused by the genetic constitution of the individual. In the lower part of the structure is placed the highest priority needs and the higher those of lower priority. Thus, within this structure, to be satisfied the needs of a certain level, the individual becomes apathetic but rather in the needs of the next level of satisfaction the next target. Here in lies the failure of the theory, as humans always want more and this is within their nature. (Maslow, 1970) When a man is hungry and it's natural to take large risks to get food, once you've got food and know that will not die of hunger will be concerned about being safe, feeling you'll want to find a love.

The ideal of Maslow's theory would be one in which men feel "self-realized" but this is very rare, you could say that less than 1% of people come to full realization. Maslow said Maslow's needs (Maslow, 1970)
