Leadership Styles

Introduction

Leadership is the set of capabilities that a person has to influence the minds of people in a group of persons, making this team to work with enthusiasm, but the reality is different, in achieving goals and objectives. It is also understood as the ability to take initiative, manage, hold, promote, encourage, motivate and evaluate a group or team. In business management leadership is the exercise of executive activity in a project effectively and efficiently, whether personal or institutional management (within the administrative process of the organization). According to the Dictionary of the Spanish Language (1986), leadership is defined as the direction, leadership or leadership of a political party, social group or other community. The Dictionary of Behavioral Sciences (1956) defines it as the "qualities of personality and ability to promote the guidance and control of other individuals" (Peter, p. 34-38).

Other definitions are: - "Leadership is an interpersonal influence attempts directed through the communication process, the achievement of one or more goals". The philosopher Hugo Landolfi defines leadership as: "Leadership is the exercise manifestations of updates and refinements of a human being, called leader, who by their action is placed at the service of achievement, through a mission, one or more objectives proposed by a vision. This vision must be aligned and necessarily subordinate to the ultimate good of man. The targets proposed by the vision should include and consider those that are individual-objectives of each of the people who make up the leadership team, together with those who are organizational" (Peter, p. 34-38).

This paper would focus on the study of the different leadership styles by giving examples of various leaders in relation to these leadership styles.

Charismatic Leadership

The image of the head is easily visible: we recognize the head of an almost instinctively. However, all definitions are flawed. Few people were able to describe and communicate the excitement of the head, his features epic and romantic atmosphere that surrounds it.
