Introduction

As the world is depending more and more on Information Technology, there are many things that are arising as a concern, it has both negative and positive aspects of the technologies. And the legalities and security issues are rising side by side. And as we rely more into it we need to understand its moral values and ethics. Though advancements in information technology are accompanied, with ethical difficulties as the users are not aware of the balance between ethics and profit. Individuals, businesses and software developers should think about if they are using the information in the right way or the wrong.

There are many ethical aspects of using the information technology and usually known by the theory of right and wrong, which is imposed on the daily usage of the internet. These ethics shows how we utilize them for communicating, shopping and playing and and forces us to show concern about ethical problem.(Katers, 2012) as the internet shares huge amount of information, there is a new concept discovered known as information privacy, there are certain requirements for the information shared on the internet, unofficial access to information is undesirable. This also comes into existence when users provide information on their personal details for different things such as online shopping or creating email accounts, where they have to put in accurate information. There are particular questions that are raised regarding this information, that when these details are filled if any third parties can use these information by sharing and storing it or not. The effective sharing of data while protecting it can become a real challenge now days.

There are different views on internet privacy and ethics some of them which are against the privacy and some who advocates the privacy statement. There are some users who don't want even a single detail of their stored or shared while some do not have a problem, which shows a reason that there need to be both levels of privacy to cater the needs for both the kinds of users, which is ethically right. The freedom of expressions established by social networking has resulted in user's posters unwanted and unethical information being anonymous commenting in any way they wish to which could even cause harm. Because of these privacy and unethical issues there user's who fear using online banking to avoid unauthorized use of their personal details (Oak, 2011)
