Introduction

In today's fast pace of competition, the organizations are required to develop their organizational cultures in a way that guarantee the good and potential behavior of their employees. In order to achieve the competitive position among the competitors, the organizations are now greatly concerned towards the organizational behavior. The organizational behavior is concerned with the understanding of the individual employees' behaviors under the workplace environment. The organizational behavior involves the aspects of sociology, psychology, communication and management within the context of organization (Hiriyappa, B., 2009). It allows the higher level authorities as well as the managers to analyze and to find out about the factors that have impact upon the individual employees, the groups of employees, organizational cultures as well as upon the structures of the organization. There are various behavioral components within an organization that can affect the organizational behavior and can ultimately affect the organizational performance and profitability. The understanding of the organizational behavior allows the managers and the organizational authorities to manage the workforce effectively. The human resources management assists in maintaining an efficient and effective behavior within an organization.

The following section aims at discussing and analyzing analyze various behavioral components within an organization and the factors of that have significant impact upon the organizational behavior. The example of my former employer, ABC Company will also be mentioned under some headings.

Discussion

The organizational goals, objectives, missions, and values are the basic driving factors that develop the organizational culture. The organizational culture forms the social as well as formal and informal environment of the organization. These cultures develop the organizational behavior. The organizational behavior is further affected by the motivational factors of the employees. The reason behind this factor is that the organizational culture develops a particular behavior of the employees and that behavior affects the motivational and performance level of the employees. The individual employees' satisfaction level and the growth and development within the organization are also affected by the organizational culture and the organizational behavior (Jean, M., Stanley, M., 2011). The major and the important factors within an organization that greatly impact the organizational behavior involve the people, structure, technology and environment.

Types of organizational behavior

There are mainly two types of organizational behavior, the formal and the informal. The formal type of the organizational behavior is one that has the formal and strict bureaucratic systems, regulations and policies. The informal type of the organizational behavior is one that has flexible business environment and there is not such strict and bureaucratic form of organizational structure.

Type of culture within an organization

Pluralism

In pluralism type of culture, the employees in organization tend to main their unique cultures while remaining among other large group of people who have different cultures.
