Introduction

Forming in itself is a large group of processes used in manufacturing. In Forming, force is primarily used to induce a shape by plastic deformation and mechanical working. The most desirable quality of a manufacturing material for a forming process is high ductility and malleability. Metals and Polymers are passed through the forming processes while ceramics are not. Although, it is accepted that the level of machinery involved needs to be raised and the human element is to be reduced (Avitzur, 1987) (Avitzur, 1987).
