Questionnaire

The questionnaire is a set of questions sent in writing to one or more individuals asking them to acquit in a specified period

Interview

Interviewing is a technique to obtain data that consists of a dialogue between two people: the researcher and the interviewee, is performed to obtain information from this, that is, one skilled in the art of research.

Advantages and disadvantages

Interview

Advantages

The interview is an effective technique to obtain data relevant and meaningful from the point from the point of view of social sciences, to find out

The information obtained by the interviewer through the interview is much higher than when limited to the reading of written response

His condition is oral and verbal.

Through the interview can capture the gestures, tones of voice, emphasis, etc.., Which provide important information on the subject and the people interviewed.

The essential advantage of the interview is that they are the same stakeholders who provide the details of their behavior, opinions, desires, attitudes, expectations, etc.. Things which by its very nature is almost impossible to observe from outside.

Disadvantages

Limitations on speaking from the interviewer and interviewee.

It becomes very difficult to level and give equal weight to all responses, especially those that come from people who have better verbal eloquence, but with little information or scientific value.

It is very common to find people who lie, distort or exaggerate the answers and there is often a partial or complete divorce between what is said and done, between truth and reality.

Many people are inhibited to an interviewer and find it hard to respond with confidence and fluency a series of questions.

There are many taboo topic among people, some of which result in denial when it comes to answering specific questions, such as sexual political issues, economic, social and other.

Questionnaire

Advantage

The questionnaire has important advantages over other research techniques such as anonymous responses, especially in countries with low intellectual standards in which prejudice and shyness are widespread.

Allows cover a larger geographic area.

It allows to reach a greater number of people.

It causes less personnel costs because there is, as in the interview, which train previously.

Demand less time to reach the same number of ...
