The Bible does not Forbid Same-sex relationships

Introduction

When a country claims “equality for all”, then there should be no discrimination on the basis of genders having same sex relationship. As a libertarian society, every citizen, irrespective of whether he or she is gay or lesbian, should deserve equal rights as everyone else in the society. Love should have no boundaries, when someone is in love they should be able to show it regardless of anyone like it or not. When a person works for living, he or she becomes a contributor towards the economy of the society; hence, he or she should get the same benefits and rights as everyone else. With all these moral issues in mind, people involved in same sex relationships should earn all the rights irrespective of their sexual orientation. “They are citizens; they pay their taxes, and are caring parents, than why do not they deserve the same equality as other Americans” (Siker, pp. 80-88). Though, the counter party to the issue of the same sex relationship is of the opinion that homosexual marriage is a “protection of marriage”, the supporters label it as “marriage equality”.

Same sex couples should also be allowed to marry. Because, as human beings, everyone has a right to fulfill his or her physical and psychological needs. Marriage, referred as a relationship of love, affection, passion and dedication between two persons. Everyone needs someone to love, and everyone wants someone to themselves, wanting monogamy, which is an aspect of the personal benefit. The ability to earn mutual possession is a human, as well as a civil right, and women and gay men, have the right to do so as much as heterosexual couples. Therefore, it is an immoral practice to prohibit same sex relationships, as it deteriorates the civil rights of human beings. In the next section, we will support our argument by presenting some relevant literature in favor of the same sex relationships.
