Introduction

Beginning from the time the primitive humans understood the concepts of the pronouns 'mine', 'yours' and 'ours', there arose a need of private security. The concept of private security has its roots in Ancient Egypt and can be traced from that point in time to the modern day event which took place on 9/11. The need for private security has risen exponentially.

The earliest cave paintings, from the dawn of mankind hint at the need for some sort of law and order as well as someone to enforce it, thereby signifying a need for private security; from that time onwards.

The first recorded example in the history of private security was found to be during the 13th century B.C. The practice which has long be established not only persisted as well as progressing but was also accepted by the Ancient Roman Empire. The soldiers were usually the ones who wished to make additional income or gain more combat experience during the peace times which took place when there was a lull in the military campaigns). They were responsible for the safety and security of the families of their employers. Factors of the Growth of Private Security

The Middle Ages was a good time for the private security. In Japan and China, the rich denizens hired private security as a means of safeguarding themselves, their households and their properties from the ever present threat of the Mongol Hordes. The warlords both in China and in Italy also conscripted a private guard to defend their strongholds and take part in the military campaigns. As soon as this become a norm, the private soldiers in all the areas of the world starting creating more organization private organizations.
