Introduction

Verizon Wireless is the largest CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) carrier in the United States. Registered legally under the name of Cellco Partnership, Verizon Wireless is a joint venture between the U.S. based Verizon Communications and U.K. based telecommunications company, Vodafone. It was founded in the year 2000 through a merger between Bell Atlantic Mobile Systems, Inc. and GTE Wireless, Inc.
