From another point of view we can say that culture is all the information and skills that humans possess. The concept of culture is fundamental to the disciplines that are responsible for the study of society, especially anthropology and sociology.. Nowadays, societies are becoming more pluralistic and it is important to raise cultural awareness of others around us who are different. This cultural and religious differences and diversity have been the theme of many different movies. This paper discusses the movie “Bend it like Beckham” and the cultural differences and issues of the Indian family living in the United States.

This film is very refreshing and discretely integrates several social themes and reflections. The movie revolves around a young girl, named Jasminder, of Indian origin who loves football more than anything else. Eventually discovered, she joins a women's team secretly as her parents do not approve of her playing soccer.
