Introduction

Childbirth is a very complicated process which becomes more complicated when mother has complaint of postpartum depression PPD. It is the most common problem that occurs in most of the situations. It becomes very difficult to handle the case if these conditions become more and more complicated. There are various treatments and methods to manage this problem. It is also very important factor that these women should be treated properly so that no more complications should arise. Screening is considered as one of the most common methods for the postpartum depression. It is very important point to notice that apart from various benefits screening is not that much appreciated. Screening is very affordable and easy to manage in time. It is the most important reason that screening is one of the best methods for the treatment of Postpartum Depression PPD but even then there are various problems associated with it .It is not considered as the standard method but only because of its affordability and accessibility it is considered as the most recommended system for the women and their children.

Background

Postpartum depression PPD is defined as a very serious complication that requires proper understanding of the conditions and problems of child birth. According to Gjerdingen during the analysis it is assumed that around 10-15% presents the rate of delivery along with the problem of the postpartum depression. These mental symptoms are not easy to diagnose at the early stage and cause problem at the later stages which becomes problem for both mother and child (Misri, 2007). This is very important to consider the mental and physical health of the mother and child as in later case it has very adverse affect on the health of both mother and child. In these cases there are more chances of judgment of these risks of complication by means of the general way of the screening (Pogany & Petersen, 2007). Early detection of this complication is considered as the most important consideration in these cases.

Summary

There are various concerns associated with the postpartum depression. This requires a complete structural framework for the better development of the methods to treat this problem. This follows a systemic way for the proper treatment which consists of the proper understanding of the material and literature available. It also considers the policies followed by the department to bring advancements. These studies help to understand the better methods of screening. It is also an important factor to provide better training for the doctors and nurses to deal with the problems of PPD. The Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale EPDS is also a very effective method of screening of the women with PPD. Stake holders also play a major role in providing the better means of dealing with these complications and in bringing the advancements in technology and its implementation.
