ABSTRACT

According to the recent study community colleges today are considered as playing an important role by becoming green institutions. Green institutions have grabbed the attention of public and educational institutions are starting programs to train them in this regard. The American Economy has transferred them into green economy; community colleges have started to meet the challenges of the market conditions. Since, this has become extremely important. Green jobs reduce the environmental impact of business and economic sectors to sustainable levels. In conclusion, community colleges play an important role for green institutions and increasing their importance.

CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION

Background of the Study

According to the recent study community colleges today are considered as playing an important role by becoming green institutions. It further states that community colleges are considered as a perfect gateway for doing Green jobs. The topic chosen for the thesis is green institutions.

Significance of the study

Green institutions have grabbed the attention of public and educational institutions are starting programs to train them in this regard. The managers are being provided instructions in this regard in order to save and conserve energy. They oversee the technologies used to conserve energy and helps in safeguarding natural resources. There are community colleges who are offering degrees in environment management and degrees in environmental management and certificates for managers who are interested in learning more about the factors of the environmental aspects and the fields related to it (Jamaal, 2009).

CHAPTER 2: LITERATURE REVIEW

A theoretical framework (conceptual framework) is the core group of concepts and theories that one uses to formulate and develop an argument or thesis. This refers to the basic ideas that form the basis for the arguments, while the review of literature refers to articles, studies and books specific uses within a predefined structure. Both the overall argument the framework and the literature that supports it are required to develop a cohesive and compelling thesis (Jamaal, 2009). The theoretical frame of reference or conceptual framework is intended to give the investigation a coordinated and coherent system of concepts and propositions that will address the problem. This is the problem of integrating within an area where it make sense, incorporating prior knowledge relating thereto and sorting them so that are useful to our task.
