This paper discusses Group Counseling as an indication for anyone who wants to pursue personal development, better understand and cope with situations that might require a change in behavior. This paper presents a contrast between the group counseling and group psychotherapy which is defined as that which founds a group of Counseling: personal development, prevention and resolution of personal problems. This paper includes the theories of group counseling and group psychotherapy and their application. The paper identifies group counseling as part of preventive, corrective and cause growth to destination groups. Psychotherapy, as curative as intended, range of clients of mental and natural health, work environment, the value of the duration of sessions and the duration of the course accordingly reflected in the special meaning or purpose of each of these two distinctly different groupings.

Members of the group thanks to confirmation from others and self-observation are beginning to realize their interpersonal behavior. Group through feedback and approval helps each member to see their maladaptive social / Interpersonal behavior, and provides support for immediate environment changes.
