Introduction

The Bubonic Plague is also referring as the Black Death (Dickson, et.al, 2009). This has been significantly including on life of William Shakespeare and creates necessary consequences the illness had on his life. He received name Black death due to the symptoms suffered by Shakespeare, in-fact disease appears in the towards him in three different ways of the great plague and create confusion between whether disease is to be called as Bubonic plague or Black death. In a time of 1593-1594, there was an outbreak of plague in London. It was considering as one of the most violent outbreak of the disease. According to (Cohn, 2005) Health recognitions of that time dictated that all playhouses had to close until the disease was completely under control. This affects negatively impact on those people who being employed by the theatre industry, temporarily out of business. There were a lot of actors who went on tour of the country towns. Purpose of this paper is to analyze that how bubonic plague affected Shakespeare life, family and plays.

Plague affects Shakespeare Career

During the time of Elizabeth, when Shakespeare was live, there were a number of outbreaks of diseases that known to be as bubonic plague. Disease spread all over the London in rural, populated and farming areas. According to (Dickson, et.al, 2009) this disease has also significantly affected to the Shakespeare life, his family and his plays. While disease had a negative impact on the life of Shakespeare, it also causes some good things to happen as well. Mainly, Shakespeare was living in the time of death, while he continued living.

Occurrence of bubonic plague was mostly occurred in the time period of 1593, 1603 and 1608. Disease and filth surrounded every day of his life, starting with the unclean drinking water and waste of animal that was all over the alleyways in the river. The disease was most dangerous during summer. The feast that was lives on the animals and rodents mostly spread the disease (Shrewsbury & Findlay, 2005). In urban areas, rats play an important role to transmit it. In that time, cities did not have a very good sewerage system that makes them extremely dirty places.
