The concept of leadership plays a vital role in the management of an organization. The leadership maintains an important relationship with the administrative activities. However, there are differences between the leadership and managerial activities in the organization. A person may be an effective manager (good planner and administrator) and fair organizers, but may lack the skills to motivate leader. While others may be effective leader with ability to spark the enthusiasm and the return, but lack management skills to channel the energy unleashed in others. The commitment includes the challenges of today's dynamic world of organizations, many of which are appreciating more managers who also have leadership skills. Leaders explain clearly, what they expect from the followers, increase confidence that they have them. Furthermore, the fact the needs of subordinates can improve productivity. However, as transactional leadership involves a commitment to "follow the rules" transactional leaders retain stability within the organization, in Instead of creating change. It is important that all leaders have transactional skills. However, in today's world where business success often depends on the continuous changes, effective leaders also use another approach (Janda, 1960).
Leadership, highly complex concept that appeals to many values, strongly depends on the context. It is important to distinguish between leadership and related concepts such as command and management, although these terms are often used interchangeably. A good manager must both have leadership qualities, but the mere fact that a person occupies a position of authority does not necessarily a leader. Leadership includes not only the authority but also the ability to lead others. Leadership requires much more than management skills or legal authority. Most relationships between managers and their staff are little different and depends very few managers and mainly on their strong legitimacy or power, which forces them to persuade people to do what is required of them. The managers engage in a deal with their employees: they explain what is required of them and the compensation they will receive if they had accomplished those requirements gets commander on things. I view myself as a transactional leader since I possess all the qualities, charisma and capabilities of a leader.
