Research Topic and Motivation

The research topic I have chosen is Security awareness as I found it very intriguing because these days many IT analysts are focusing and working upon this. In the recent past, technology has significantly advanced, and it has made life easy for the employees, as they can work perform various task within the organization on just a click of a mouse within few minutes. It has increased the ease of customers as well, willing to indulge in various activities including online banking, online shopping and many other activities. It also raises several security issues, as the data may be subject to theft or online activities of a user are monitored. Thus, it is of much importance that every organization must have a well designed security framework. For this purpose, it is essential to have competent and skilled officials who may design the security system and further train the employees to spread the security awareness.

Approach to Literature Review

The approach we are going to follow in order to compose literature review will be on the basis of 'step by step approach'. The steps shall be, search for relevant articles, study and analyze, write the analysis of key findings and quote the references. These steps are further explained below in detail

2.1 How to identify relevant resources/ databases

For selecting the appropriate literature, two aspects of any publication will be assessed; relevance to our research topic and timing of the publication. In order to ensure validity of the data, only authentic libraries are used including public, private and the online libraries. In addition to physical access, many online databases are also employed for the purpose including IEEE Computer Society Digital Library, ACM Digital Library, Proquest, Ebsco, and Phoenix and so on.
