Introduction

Apple Inc. is an organization that has enjoyed the heights of popularity and is known for being most modernistic and down with the times. Its headquarters are based in California, which is where all major operations are carried out. It facilitates its primary executive offices in Cupertino, CA and research and developmental functions are also based out of there. The culture that operates within Apple is very professional and anyone who has performed research based thesis's on this organization has been impressed with its successful and adaptive corporate culture. Although each organization has an individualistic culture, some manage to perform its functions in a more expansive manner, thus generating a positive climate of success, while some do not end up achieving their goals. Apple Inc. has kept up with the times and adapted their culture in every way that would benefit the organization as a whole, and the well calculated risks that it has taken have always managed to bring success t o the organization. In this paper I will be discussing Apple Inc.'s organizational culture and the operational units that work within the organization, as well as their susceptibility to change and demand.

Apple Inc. started out as a small company in 1976 called Apple Computers. As famously told by its creators, the story began through the genius of the two minds of Steven Wozniak and Steve Jobs. They created the first system called Apple 1, and thus were launched into the world of business. There have been many dramatic chances as well as gains and losses to the organization but it has managed to pull itself through with all of them. The company's strong organizational culture must be commended as it has faced adversity with strength and valor, securing a future for itself even in a culture that is fiercely competitive and conducive to failure. Through this, the organization has secured itself the reputation of being a true success story, having started from scratch and achieved all its accolades in such a short amount of time. It has had a rapid reaction from its users, and can now boast of having a base of customers that are examples of loyal consumers, especially in the technological world of computer. Starting from its sleek and stylish product designs to the inventive and innovative features in each of their software, Apple has to be commended for its continued use of creative intel in ensuring their products are counted among the elite. One only has to look at the history of products such as the iconic iPods to deduce the success rate of Apple. It is only through a fully functioning internal organizational culture that Apple products have managed to reach its target customers as thoroughly. Compared to Microsoft or Dell, Apple seems to be in a separate category in terms of success.
