Introduction

A leader is someone who inspires, who makes decisions affecting the company in a positive way and can assemble a team and get to work mixed with a common goal .A leader must be someone who can rally others towards the desire to achieve the desired outcome. 

The phrase the president of the United States often conjures grand and expansive titles: leader of the free world or most powerful man in the United States. These labels belie the truth that the president's power is nuanced and derived from the Constitution, from congressional statute, and from aggrandizement by individual presidents.

Discussion

For people who dedicate our lives to the development of leadership in organizations, the Barack Obama phenomenon feeds our passion. It is easy to identify elements of leadership in their behaviour, but is more complicated to discover what their true essence. Worth trying, because facing big challenges, these essence criteria can show that our political and business leaders will serve as a guide in directing our organizations during this crisis. The task facing Barack Obama, 44th President of the United States and first Black to hold this position, is Herculean. It is impossible to predict whether it will successfully manage the most powerful economy on earth or not. The expectations are enormous and the risks of failure, many. By carefully examining the leadership style of Mr. Obama and how he managed his campaign, it is possible to identify some factors of success transferable to business (Miller, 2008).

For a cynical, Obama personifies the superficiality of American politics. It seems like the kind of candidate that Hollywood would have dreamed it was recreated on screen a new Kennedy. Having good, radiating confidence and charisma, multicultural - a black man who speaks like a white - the perfect star for a hit movie. His image is the opposite of conventional candidates.
