What barriers to effective communication are evident in this case?

As the case shows the scenario, there are numerous barriers that are preventing an effective communication to take place. Those barriers could be non verbal barriers as in the case Gavin, George and Frankie rolled their eyes as Marielle tried to speak at the same time there were physical barriers like shuffling of papers which prevent Marielle from expressing herself further. Moreover, there were attitudinal barriers in the case when Gavin said that he wanted to go for lunch in between the meeting, and this barrier also silenced the words of effective communication. Apart these there was also an emotional barrier in communication that prevented the actual problem from being diagnosed and that is emotional barrier. As in the case Gavin keeps praising his children's efforts regardless of the actual problem. So these are the most evident barriers in the case which has lead to in effective communication and due to which the actual problem is not determined and the things Marielle was trying to communicate were not considered as thoughtful.

What are you major concerns about presenting this feedback information to the senior executives to avoid defensiveness?

This customer and employee feedback has given me a thorough idea about the major concerns associated with the lack of communication and feedback. There are certain issues pretending to senior executives regarding management and lack of follow up from the staff working at store. The feedback that has clearly shown that customers are not satisfied to an extent is because of behavioral issues of sales person and store managers. There should be a change brought in the attitude of employees and there is excessive need to change the environment which brings the quality atmosphere in store and unity among employees.
