Introduction

Nursing facilities in the hospitals are provided by the professional nurses registered under the nursing rules and regulations. Hospitals in order to keep a record and measure the performance of the nurses, by using different measures like productivity, care delivered to each patient and number of hours served by the nurses. Nursing is a full time job this is the reason why the full time equivalent or FTE is calculated to provide a full overview of the data of numbers of hours worked by each nurse in the hospital and among the number of hours the hospitals also keep a track of number of hours given care to the patients.
