Introduction

Social web, which is also known as social networking, is a set of social relation that link people through the World Wide Web (www). In 1996, Howard Rheingold coined the term “social web”. The social web is about the concept for this new real constitution of Web, designers and consumers will be visible in a person. Changing roles allow individuals to beat the best use of the medium, and each user will have the opportunity to design their own personal web. This grouping of individuals into specific groups helps them to interact on a real time basis. Perhaps one of applications with more impact and popularity of the Internet called Web 2.0. Creating Web 2.0 applications in the social networking environment has created a cultural phenomenon with wide-ranging and explosive number of users (Jones, Temperley& Lima, 2009, 927-939. For example, the Internet as a communication medium in just four years generated more than 50 million users. Social networks like Facebook went from 200 to 250 million registered users in just three months. Social networking has been a phenomenon in recent years, not just used by people, but also being used by large corporations, organizations and companies to promote their products and services, and have a close encounter with their customers or supporters. In Web 2.0, the Internet user has an active, not only accessing information, but also bringing in content. Through the capabilities of Web 2.0, the Internet user can perform functions that previously were restricted to specialists. Such is the case for editing audio, video and imaging, publication of books and articles, information processing, resource management, among many others. All these features and more are part of social networks (Shih, 2011, 112-176).

The term network comes from the Latin word “rete”, and is used to define a structure that has a specific pattern. There are several types of networks: computer, electrical, social. Social networks or web could be defined as structures where many people have different types of friendly relations.

A small number of social networks currently charge for members. Part, this might be because of social networking, which is a relatively new service and the value of its use has not been firmly established in customers. Companies like MySpace and Facebook sell online advertising on its website. Therefore, members are looking great, and the charge for membership would be counterproductive. Some believe that the most profound with each site allow users much better targeted advertising than anything else today. Social networks are operated under an autonomous business model, in which a social network member serves two roles of providers and consumers of content.
