Introduction

The concept of tourism and hospitality represents a system of ideas about strategic goals, objectives and priorities for development of tourism and hospitality industry, and should serve as a guide for public authorities, local governments in implementing policies for the development of tourism and hospitality. Tourism is now one of the most profitable and fastest growing sectors of the economy, providing a strong multiplicative effect on the total activities of the various sectors of the economy. Tourism and hospitality industry should be considered as complex-forming, based on the integrated use of all economic, cultural and natural potential of the territory. Hospitality is providing reception services for a fee, the organization of tourist business - a collective term that includes various forms of enterprise in the market for the reception and accommodation of guests. In the hospitality industry includes four main areas: food, accommodation, transportation and recreation (Carbone 2009, 20).

Hospitality brings together different professional fields of physical activity: tourism, hotel and restaurant business, catering, leisure and entertainment, conferences, seminars and exhibitions, sports, museum and exhibition, sightseeing activities, as well as the scope of vocational education in the field of hospitality. The hospitality industry is a complex, comprehensive scope of professional people whose efforts are aimed at meeting the diverse needs of customers (guests), both tourists and locals. Tourism and hospitality industry cannot be regarded as a different industry, as tourists are primarily consumers with diverse needs, including specific, depending on the goals and motives of travel, as well as a number of other things. However, tourists are primarily the consumers in general, therefore, tourism and hospitality industry is considered by us as a whole because of the indissoluble unity and yet specific to the tourism industry, including structural and institutional. According to leading experts, the tourism industry in the 21st century will be one of the three major driving forces in the service sector of the world economy, along with telecommunications and information technology. In the tourism sector currently employs about 212 million, or 10.6 percent of the workforce in the world (Chang 2007, 45).

Development and delivery of competitive advantage in hospitality

Modern hotel venture provides consumers with not only the accommodation and food services, but also a wide range of transportation, communication, entertainment, excursions, health and sports services, beauty salons, etc. In fact, hotel companies in the structure of tourism and hospitality perform essential functions as the form and offer consumers a comprehensive hotel product in the development and promotion which involves all sectors and elements of tourism and hospitality industry. For this reason, rightly highlight the hotel industry or the hotel business as the largest component of a comprehensive tourism and hospitality industry and to consider its own, largely by identifying with a single tourism and hospitality industry.
