Technology gives new choices for people and it is up to them to live in the technological world and up to the people that what type of society they want to live in. Technology enables new choices, but the people decide that what society they have to live in, to create the future together, with approach, social change and technological change are understood to be intimately linked. The factors are effecting the new technology progress can be the limited resources, lack of good technical expertise and the usefulness of the product, etc. this is what effects the visionary technology for the future. The products like same configuration cell phones or computers that have to same technology being used are of no use unless it has new processing speed and extra additional fast features which can give extra computing speeds and advantage for the areas where fast processing is required. Otherwise, it is a waste of technology and resources and capital.

In the body of the paper, the authors' visions are either feasible or desirable have been discussed or technological aspects and future usage of the technology is being discussed. The technological determinism and social constructivism compatibility or incompatibility has been discussed. How do established, functioning technologies affect social values are put into light. In the end a summary of the first passage has been discussed.

The question asked is that what assumption the author makes about the relationship between technology and society; the answer could be simple, the author has said that the western culture has a trend of assuming for the future stories for the variety of purpose. The visions tell us about the trends and reveal the meaning, inspire, caution and explain the technologies will set us free, help us live longer and can also bring a global justice. Many movies portray the future visions that give the ominous warnings about the ultimate effects on the society.

In the vision of future, technology for last hundred years has played an important role. Technology gives new choices for people and it is up to them to live in the technological world and up to the people that what type of society they want to live in.
